Explore Kanlıca Dondurma Kafe

If you’re wandering through the charming streets of Beykoz in İstanbul, a must-visit spot for dessert lovers is Kanlıca Dondurma Kafe, tucked away at Mihrabat Caddesi Halepliçeşme Sokak, No:8A. This cozy café has built a reputation for its creamy, flavorful yogurt and ice creams, with the violet-flavored option standing out as a real crowd-pleaser. Fans of fruit-infused treats will also enjoy their creative combinations, like the mix of cherry and peach, which balances tartness and sweetness beautifully. The café’s yoghurt paired with honey is another delight, offering a subtle richness that complements the light tang of Kanlıca yogurt perfectly. While the interior tends to be a bit dark, giving it a cozy, tucked-away feel, the seating space outside is limited, so grabbing a spot can be a little competitive on sunny days. What sets Kanlıca Dondurma Kafe apart is the care in portioning and presentation; even a single scoop is generous, and the staff often suggest creative pairings to elevate the tasting experience. Whether you’re savoring a solo treat or sharing a couple of scoops with friends, the combination of traditional yogurt flavors with inventive ice cream choices makes each visit memorable. The mix of textures, from the creamy base to the vibrant fruit notes, keeps the experience dynamic and enjoyable, making it a favorite for both locals and visitors exploring the Beykoz neighborhood. From a casual afternoon snack to a sweet finish after a stroll along the Bosphorus, the café’s offerings are versatile, satisfying both classic tastes and adventurous palates. The atmosphere, while small and a little dim inside, has a relaxed charm that encourages lingering over each bite, giving dessert lovers the perfect excuse to slow down and enjoy their treats.

Delicious yoghurt and ice creams, especially violet. The downside is that they have very little outside seating area and dark at inside.

The yoghurt with honey was good. The cherries were a bit sour, possibly intentionally to provide different tastes that combined is also good.

We were brought here as part of our Bosphorus Cruise. Our guide pitched in and help leaving me to think he had a stake in the place! That said, the yogurt and ice cream were good and cheap! I enjoyed the yogurt with honey.

Lovely little shop. We stopped there while on a boat tour, our guide took us there. We would not have otherwise found this place. The ice cream was excellent, so was the yogurt.
